Accra's Airport Residential Area is set to gain a major mixed-use development with the construction of Sentuo Airport Garden City, a US$1.3 billion project designed to bring residential, hospitality, commercial and leisure facilities together within one district.

The project, being developed by Sentuo Group, was officially launched in September 2026. Its location near Kotoka International Airport places it within an important corridor for business travellers, international visitors and residents seeking access to Accra's commercial and transport infrastructure.

Features of the development

According to information released at the project's groundbreaking, Sentuo Airport Garden City is planned to comprise 582 premium apartments, a 600-room hotel and a conference facility with capacity for 2,500 people. 

The wider development will also include healthcare facilities, a shopping mall, landscaped gardens, parking and additional commercial and leisure amenities such as a sky pool, arrival lobby, cafe lounge, concierge, fitness club, after-school care, a plaza and more.

The scale of the planned hotel and conference facilities also makes the project relevant to Accra's business tourism and events market.
